Embarrassing. So today I took the kids to the splash park and ran into a friend who had just picked up two Japanese exchange students from the airport. Who are the first new people they meet in America? Oh, just a mom carrying a huge sack of McDonald's food along with a 52 ounce of diet coke. My son is of course dressed in American flag swim trunks and Lydia is giggling like a valley girl with oversized sunglasses and a frilly swim-skirt. All I needed was a huge camera around my neck and we would have been the most stereotypical Americas ever.
More exciting news....
Today starts the first annual Nordstrom Sibling Weight loss Challenge! Whoever (whomever?) loses the biggest percentage of weight by the first of September wins the pot. If I was a betting gal, I would put my money on Wayne. Though I'm meeting with a personal trainer tomorrow to kick my butt into gear.
Now that I think of it, what's more stereotypical America than trying to lose weight? Trying to lose weight and still going to McDonalds. I didn't order myself anything. Though I didn't want to waste those leftover fries.
Enjoy your week!

hopefully you didn't speak slowly and loudly to the foreign exchange students too!
Yeah, so today we start our competition, and what happens? TWO different people stop by with with plates of cookies! Seriously. I bet you paid them, didn't you?Send me cookies while you work with a personal trainer... I should have known.
Actually, I made a peach pie today. :)
I don't know what you guys have to worry about, your all beautiful and have great bodies (yes I thought so the last time I looked). But maybe Wanye is in for it when you think about the competition. You go for it Natalie, my money is on you!
