My biggest "Do-over" moment, ever.

I was recently asked by Frigidaire if I would share my biggest "do-over moment". The thing I wish I could take back and do differently.
I thought about it for a while, but there really is just the one really bad one. Oh man. Here goes.....
When I was in college I may have been kind-of, sort-of, dating two guys at the same time.
It was long distance. Still, not really a excuse. I just liked them both.
Ok. But that isn't the worse part.
One December, while I was at school, I decided to send both "boyfriends" a package for Christmas.
Can you see where this is going?
After carefully selecting each personalized item and writing each a letter, I boxed the packages up.
Yes. I did. I SWITCHED the labels. I sent each boyfriend the WRONG PACKAGE.
So. Awesome.
I can say that now. But at the time. It was the most humiliating, horrible thing ever. I think I was on the phone with one boyfriend when he opened the package and was confused at one of the things I sent. I cannot express the mortification.
Now the worst part is still to come.
In the case of the boyfriends.... One boyfriend and I soon broke up. (Go figure.) But we weren't a good fit, so that worked out ok. The other boyfriend laughed at me and my total lameness, and we dated for a year or so more. We are still good friends.
Now for the bad part.
I kind-of, sort of, became famous for that incident. At my (very large) university, people would approach me all the time, asking if I was the girl who switched her boyfriends packages. Once someone heard my name, they would gasp and say, are you "that Natalie"????
I'm pretty sure what roommate spread the news, and I had to live with that rep for the next two years of school.
What would I re-do? Maybe not date two guys at the same time? Probably. Pay more attention to my mailing techniques? YES!

So there you go. Don't worry Shane, I've changed my ways. I'm as loyal as they come.

And speaking of avoiding do over moments...

The Frigidaire Gallery™Dishwasher gets dishes fully cleaned the first time, so there are no dish do-overs. Nearly half of adults admit to re-washing and/or re-drying dishes after the dishwasher cycle has been completed. To prevent dishwasher do-overs, Frigidaire® is stepping in with its new Gallery® Dishwasher featuring the OrbitCleanTM Wash Arm, ensuring dishes are cleaned right the first time.

And I'm proud to say that I was one of the guys involved in that "do over" moment. While it wasn't awesome at the time, I can definitely say that it's a story I've told MANY times. Thanks again, Natalie, for such an awesome memory!

The best part is, I wish you all could have been there when I opened the package. There was a tape in it and the first thing I did was throw the tape in my Walkman and listen. I realized pretty quickly that it wasn't for me, but I was sure it was all a joke. I swear I listened to that tape for twenty minutes waiting to hear a, "HA! Just joking!" - but it never came. As I was listening, I told my self that 'if she doesn't say that this is all a joke on this tape in the next 3 minutes, I'm going to say the F word three times.' I'm not sure why saying the F word three times was my response of choice but, anyway, suffice it to say that the F word was indeed said three times. SO AWESOME.

On my gosh I am SO embarrassed all over again. My face it bright red. Steve, you're a champ. I'm glad it's become a way for you to entertain people at parties.

By the way - Shane is laughing hysterically at your comment. And at me.
