One Week til Thanksgiving....

This Thanksgiving I've decided I want to try a few new dishes. I am still deciding what to do for rolls. (I will have to make some Rhodes rolls for Shane, but personally I think they are a little "yawn" for Thanksgiving.) I mentioned cornbread, but he thought that was crazy. Of course, he has no say, since I am still making him his rolls of choice.

I am thinking of trying this stuffing recipe from Paula Dean. I am not a huge Paula fan (don't hate me, I just prefer Ina) - but this looks pretty good.
(Though I will pass on her suggestion to serve it with Mushroom Giblet Gravy. Gross.)

I agree. Rhodes are great for Sunday dinner, but Thanksgiving needs something homemade.

(Paula is a tad annoying. Not as bad as Rachel Ray!)

Yea. Rachel is a little too Pep Assembly for me. We probably would not be friends.

Ewww! Giblets! However I am all about cornbread dressing as long as it's made with the Jiffy cornbread mix.

Never had a Rhodes roll though.

I have never had a rhodes before, but I am so looking forward for Thanksgiving with my family. Last year we were my husbands family and it just didn't feel like TG eating in a garage.

Ina and Gaida are my faves!

The cornbread stuffing recipe is to DIE for. You should try it. Especially if you're thinking of having cornbread. You could now combine the two mouthwatering beauties.
