Lydia is not a fan of raw broccoli. She pretends to be, then when I am not looking she spits the chewed up bits on the floor- I enter my lovely photo as proof. I just love cleaning that grossness. Cooked broccoli is a little bit better, but last night she was having nothing to do with it. Just in random ramble I told her than it would make her tummy feel good because eating broccoli will make her toot. She looked very intrigued by this. "Yes Lydia. These are little Tooty Trees. They make you toot." She loved that. Today at lunch she even asked for tooty trees. Of course, maybe if I got this brand of broccoli I wouldn't have to try so hard....

My floor looks the exact same! ha.
I heard a nutritionist speak once about kid's pallets and apparently broccoli is much stronger to them because they have more taste buds than adults. So most children will not like it. That makes sense because I love it now, but really hated it as a kid. Maybe that's why?
Most children have a strong distaste for raw broccoli. I heard the same thing about the taste buds of little ones.
How funny...my little one LOVE broccoli thank goodness...LOL

I've heard of people blending up the veggies and addign it to whatever you're cookign... that way kids don't actually see it and figure they're getting away without having to eat them...
♥ That's funny! My kids like cooked broccoli not all the time but they'll eat it. They won't eat it raw though... Maybe if I call it tooty trees they'll go for it! :)
