As I type this, I'm listening over the baby monitor to Collin laughing hysterically at his own hiccups. Really, he is laughing as hard as I've ever heard him. Shane went up to calm him down so he can get back to sleep, but now they are both laughing.
I'm laughing downstairs as I listen to them.
I'm taking a break from making a Valentine Card for Shane.
It's kind of dirty. So you can't see it. But it will make him laugh hysterically.
We've never taken Valentines Day too seriously. I mean, it's a holiday of pink and red.
It's supposed to be kind of cheesy.
I've asked Shane to go in late to work on Tuesday so we can have our heart pancakes as a family.
We have a date planned for that night, but I'm sure the Valentine Lady will visit first.
I added a few decorations, including our 10 year old "pot of love" and these darling crochet heart garlands from Nightingale Handmade.
This chocolate cake with cheesecake swirl is about the most tempting dessert I've ever seen. I've already ordered a cake from Kneaders. (Shane's obsessed with their Raspberry cream cheese pie.) However, Shane knows this cake is what I want for Mother's Day.
I'm not really into hearts, but I think I could make an exception for these Tiffany earrings.
Of course, I'd just about kill Shane if he bought them for me.
If I was to rock something sparkly, I'd rather have these pumps at a 10th of the price.
And these heart elbow patches are just about the cutest things I'll never get around to making.
I think Shane might like to wake up to this little mannish delicacy on the day of love.
This I can do :)
