Now that they're in bed, I've decided I must finish going through my photos from my trip. Anything to keep my mind off chocolate. Of course, going through all these photos isn't helping my state. I can't believe I never realized how spectacular home was when I lived there. If course my parents added the fire-pit just recently. Too bad because that would have been a blast in high school.

I can relate. Growing up around or near the mountains is indescribable. I miss them every day. Oh wait, I guess you are still "in" the mountains, but it is much more fun and beautiful when your family is around to share it with you.
I join you in your homesickness.
I haven't reached the crying party yet...but must say I've been really really close lately! It's funny how you can't wait to grow up and go somewhere and now I just want to go HOME! Hang in there!
Pray every day. God may want you home again. He may not. But He may. Pray every day.
I am now crying!!! We miss you so much.Think of the wonderful memories that were created last month... I am certainly glad you would rather be at home than not be. Thank you for your posts they mean so much to me. Mom
Awwwww :( Hopefully the good cry helped!

I live in CA now and grew up in IL. I miss the small town feel and wish I was back there...I know how you feel...I miss home too.
Rachelle and Lydia look stoned.
I'm sorry for the homesickness... and trying to sugar detox on top of it?! Yikes!
I want a smore.
I'm so sorry. Detoxing from sugar the same week you are detoxing from your family sounds like torture.
I don't really miss my hometown (outside of Boston) until I visit-- then I "get it"... there's a certain feeling that washes over me even though it's been almost 20 years since I lived there. Every corner is filled with memories, and when I leave I long to go back. I hope a little time (and some relief from this heat) heal your soul a bit.
Is there something fun and unique to your current town that you can do? Sometimes that chases the hometown blues away for me.
