Liddy Bitty had her first day of 1st grade! It was a crazy week. We had one day after getting back from our 3 week vacation to get her ready. I was just a touch stressed. I did get real first day photos on my actual camera, but it's just so much work downloading them. So here's the instagram pic of the day.
It was 102 degrees. It's still very much summer here.
I like to make a special breakfast on the first day of school. It's turning into our little tradition.

My son is 18 months old, so no first day of school traditions yet. The best part of the summer was when we traveled home to Florida for a week to visit family, it was wonderful! :)

I took all the kiddos out to eat to celebrate them surviving their first day! This year each of my kids are going to a brand new school. I have one at the elementary school, one at the junior high and one at the high school so it's crazy!!!

Something special we do, is both my husband and I take our kids to school the first day.
And for the summer, we had a great time watching them play softball and baseball! They did totally awesome, both taking 2nd place with their teams.

We have started out the school year with a family breakfast and devotionals. We are also starting a Kindness Journal with our girls to go along with our devotional. A 3rd grader and a Kindergartener. Fun and special times!

We do a special pancake breakfast and we take pictures, all dressed in the school clothes. I also leave sticky notes in their lunches, letting them know I love them and they will have a terrific year, the best one yet!
