Good advice I followed:
- Wear something that you feel really sexy in. Not something you think you should feel sexy in.
- Highlight your best features.
- Pick the time of day where the light will be best inside. I shot in my bedroom and afternoon was perfect for our exposure.
- Heavy eye make up is good. Heavy face make up is not. I liked seeing the small lines and freckles on my face and opted not to airbrush them out. Real is sexiest.
- Tousled hair is better than perfectly styled.
A great article on how to get the most from your shoot can be found over at Wedding Bee.
You really couldn't pay me enough to post any of the full photos. (Again, for Shane's eyes only!) But here are a few close ups.
Who knew I was such a fox!
(As I type this I'm in sweats with my hair in a scrunchy. HOT.)
Have you ever done a boudoir shoot? Would you be up to it?

Speaking of great Christmas gifts, anyone else totally in love with the She and Him Christmas Album?

Dad really enjoyed this post.
Next I'm going to post about Hot Yoga!
hahaha to the Dad comment! I did one for my husband and gave it to him on our wedding night! I had so much fun doing it and would love to do it again in the next few years. A photog whose done a lot of boudoir shoots before was a must for me--she helped me not feel self conscious in front of the camera and just have fun with it.
And Natalie---your makeup looks awesome in your pics! Gorgeous.
You are gorgeous, Natalie! & I'm sure Shane thinks so, too. ;)
I know my hubby would LOVE if I gifted him with something like this...maybe for our anniversary next year. If I can get over my self-consciousness. We'll see.
Gorgeous! Maybe one of these days I'll do one for my hubby.
Gorgeous pics! I did this for my husband for our 1st anniversary. One of the best parts was that he never expected it! I was so nervous but had a great photographer who made me feel like a rock star the whole time! I am SO glad I did it and hopefully will do it again in a few years or for another big occasion :)
