Wednesday I drove the 7 hours to Spokane, kissed the kids, took a sleeping pill and woke up, 20 hours later. Here's to moms who take care of their sick daughters. And to childhood homes that are better than any hospital. (This rainy view from my bedroom ain't half bad either.)
