When I realized it would be just the three of us this Thanksgiving, my first thought was to go out to Mexican food and call it good. Somehow we switched gears a bit and ended up making the entire Thanksgiving dinner from scratch. Shane even brined and smoked the turkey. I made my first pumpkin pie. It wasn't until I already had the dough rolled out that I remembered I didn't own a pie tin. Thus, a cake pan was used. Worked great!
Shane and I spent most of Wednesday cooking together while Lydia danced around to the Christmas music we were playing. Of course, she wasn't always a perfect angel while we were distracted in the kitchen. Check out the video for details.
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

ReplyDeleteI too made my very first pumpkin pie for US Thanksgiving! We hosted it here in Canada for a bunch of US friends we know! What a blast we had!
Looks lovely!
♥ Everything looks great! Love the lipstick! :)
ReplyDeleteThose lips...cracking me up! Hope she's feeling better.
ReplyDeleteLove that she is totally aloof. Like, "Oh yah, I forgot I totally smeared lipstick ALL over my face, hah, too funny." Love how silly kids are.
ReplyDeleteAt least she knew where to put the lipstick - on her lips instead of the wall.
