Once upon a time (about 10 years ago) there were just a few types of friends. You have your regular friends you hang out with, old friends you keep in touch with via Christmas cards and the occasional phone call. Work friends, church friends, frienemies ...what have you.

Now we the word "friend" is extended quite a bit farther. MySpace friends, Facebook friends, blogging friends. It's a whole new world. You don't even have to know a person to be their friend! I was amused to find out that two ladies who read my blog (whom I call friends, though we'd never meet until recently) actually meet through my blog and ended up staying with each other for a weekend. There was a craft fair they both wanted to participate in, they were both going...why not go together. So what if they'd only meet virtually :)

One of the best part of blogging is making these "friends", especially when they are other moms. Being a mom can be so incredibly lonely at times, but knowing there are so many others out there dealing with the same issues seems to lighten the load. I enjoy reading so many of your blogs.
One of my "friends",
Sarah Jane, has the greatest blog ever and I am totally addicted. No, we've never met, but
her style is fantastic, her
family is darling and I am already planning for our sons to attend BYU together and be roommates. I'm totally copying this
yellow and black living room and
this nursery, we share the
same addictions, and this
post about she and her brother made me cry. Sarah is destined to become a very popular "Mommy Blogger", so I thought I would introduce you so you can get in on the ground floor. (Is it obvious that I'm a fan?)
Sarah - If I decided I can't live one more day with out some Utah
Cafe Rio, can I stay with you??? We can get some burritos together, my treat!
